ROLE OF GOVERNING BODY

The Governing Body is very much involved in the life and joint management of the School.  The Governors work in close partnership with the Headteacher and staff in a supportive and effective role. This is made possible by their close contact with and understanding of our School.  Their role is also to represent the wider views of all parents.

A full Governors’ meeting takes place once a term with extra meetings as necessary.  The Governors also meet as small groups to discuss specific areas e.g. finance.  Their decisions are then reported back to the full Governing Body.

The Governors are responsible for the effective management of the school.  This includes finance, all staff personnel matters, curriculum, health and safety.

Most Governors have developed a special role which ensures they get a closer insight into the complex functions of our school.

The following people are part of our Governing Body and would be delighted to explain more fully their involvement with Glade Hill Primary School.  The Parent Representatives, Chair and Vice Chair are easily available, often in and around School
