Head Teachers Page
HT foto2 Welcome to Mr. Connolly's page - where you will find out about ideas that are being put into place & plans for the future.
Most of these have been suggested by children, staff & parents/carers & they are all designed to make Glade Hill School an exciting place to learn!
music club 2 We have a terrific range of After-School Clubs to encourage & improve our children's interests & abilities.
From DRAMA to ALL-SPORTS CLUB, FRENCH, MUSIC & FOOTBALL we have extended the opportunities available to our children.

wooden house

Our BIG TOP play space is proving a great hit with our children and has now been improved with a 100 square metres of rubberised play surface added to let children get physical in safety!
Two firm favourites are still the SANDPIT & the CD PLAYER - bringing hours of pleasure to playtimes & lunchtimes. And of course the WOODEN HOUSE is a great place to pretend or hide!!
Children say it's a "COOL" space to have with loads of different toys & games that are changed nearly every day by Mrs. Easom (Senior Midday Supervisor).

Something else new this year!! - 2 SPORTS LEADERS organise games & activities two days each week.We have fit, healthy & sporty children at our School!

fruit water sale We are convinced that we can develop healthy eating habits for our children. As part of a Business and Enterprise project, our Y6 pupils invested their £50 loan to set up a "Healthy Snack Shack" - selling fresh fruit, vegetables, water and  fruit juice flavoured water at playtime. No sweets or crisps are allowed - we want our children's brains active, not hyperactive!!
Business was very bright, with new fruits being introduced by popular demand. The class made a healthy profit, using some of the money towards their end-of-year celebrations and giving some to charity. Let's hope we have inspired some entrepreneurs!
We still have some way to go with food that appears in lunch boxes, but I intend to listen to children & parents as well as the health specialists.
front page Our School had a very successful Ofsted inspection during April, where children, staff, parents & Governors were highly praised for the way they work together.
The Inspectors saw some very good teaching & plenty of happy, hard working & well behaved children. They were very confident that Glade Hill School could continue to provide a great place for children to learn, take up challenges & develop their personality.
Well done to everyone - you should be very proud of what we've achieved together!!
honours We invite parents regularly to share our celebrations of children's achievements during Honours Assembly. It's a proud moment for everyone!
